Integrations
Connect Google Drive, Dropbox or Gmail to sync documents, post events to a Slack or Teams channel, and send signature requests from your firm's own DocuSign account.
Integrations live in Settings, under Integrations. If the section is not there at all, your role does not include managing integrations. Ask an administrator.
Everything on this page applies the moment you change it. There is no Save Changes step for integrations.
Syncing documents from cloud storage
You can connect Google Drive, Dropbox or Gmail so that documents arrive in Spyral without anyone uploading them by hand.
Under Connected Accounts, choose Connect next to the provider and sign in with that account. For Google Drive and Gmail, Spyral first shows exactly what it will read and what it will do with it, before sending you to Google.
Spyral does not read your whole drive. When you connect an account, it creates two folders and only ever looks in those.
Spyral Sync, whose contents are shared with your entire team.
Spyral Private, whose contents are visible only to you.
A file anywhere else in your drive is never read. If you connect Drive and nothing appears in Spyral, this is almost always why: move the documents into the Spyral Sync folder.
Sync accepts PDF, DOCX, PPTX and XLSX, up to 100 MB per file.
Managing a connected account
A connected account shows the email address it belongs to, an Active or Paused badge, when it last synced, how many files it has brought in, and any error in red.
- Pause sync stops new documents arriving without disconnecting. Resume sync restarts it.
- Sync now queues a full pass immediately. It is unavailable while sync is paused.
- Disconnect stops the sync and revokes Spyral's access to that account.
Disconnecting keeps the documents. Anything already synced stays in your library as an ordinary document. You are only cutting the link to the source.
If a provider shows Not configured and its button is greyed out, that provider is not enabled on your deployment. Nothing you do in settings will change that.
Posting events to Slack or Microsoft Teams
Under Team Channel Notifications you can have Spyral post to one Slack or Microsoft Teams channel. This needs permission to manage team settings, so the section is hidden from most colleagues.
Connection is by incoming webhook, not by installing an app.
For Slack: in your workspace settings, go to Apps, then Incoming Webhooks, add one to the channel you want, and copy the generated URL.
For Microsoft Teams: add an Incoming Webhook connector to the channel, or create a Power Automate webhook flow, and copy the generated URL.
Then in Spyral, choose Connect next to the provider, paste the URL, optionally name the channel, and choose Connect channel. Spyral posts a confirmation message straight away, so a working connection is obvious. If the URL is wrong or has been revoked, you are told immediately rather than finding out weeks later.
Afterwards you can pause and resume posting, send a test message, replace the webhook URL, or remove the integration entirely.
Spyral posts task assignments, document processing results and bookkeeping review events. Chat messages are never posted to a channel. Nothing anyone types into the assistant or a project conversation leaves Spyral this way.
Where the platform supports it, the same section offers Slack slash commands, so colleagues can search the firm's library and ask questions with /spyral search and /spyral ask without leaving Slack. Generate a link code in Spyral, then run /spyral link with that code in your Slack workspace. The code expires after a few minutes, so use it straight away.
Electronic signatures with DocuSign
Under Electronic Signatures you can connect your firm's own DocuSign account. This also needs permission to manage team settings.
This matters because of who the signature request appears to come from.
Shared sender. Without a firm connection, signature emails for board and shareholder resolutions go out through Spyral's own DocuSign sender. They work, but your client sees Spyral in the sender field rather than your firm.
Connected. With your firm's account connected, requests carry your firm's name and address, which is what most fiduciaries want their clients to see.
To connect, choose Connect DocuSign and sign in with the DocuSign account your firm sends from.
If your DocuSign session later expires, new signature requests fall back to the shared sender rather than failing. Reconnect to put your firm's name back on them.
Disconnecting affects only new requests. Envelopes already sent are unaffected and continue as normal.
Services configured for you
Platform Integrations lists services set up at deployment level rather than by your firm, such as the Luxembourg RCS registry lookups used when importing a company. These are shown so you know what is available. There is nothing to configure.
